The field has been adjusted slightly since the end of entries, and with the prize pool now on the board, it looks like the confirmed field for Day 1b was 411 entries. That puts the 1b prizes over $800k, for a combined total of $1.31 million so far.
The current record prize pool for the Main Event in Calgary is $2.34 million, but with two flights in the books, that game in Jan 2024 had $1.177 million in prizes, putting this game about $150k ahead of that record game at this point.
Everything will depend on the Day 1c field on Saturday, but they only need to hit 472 entries on 1c for this prize pool to become the new record. Tomorrow will tell the tale, but I’ll be pretty surprised if 1c doesn’t crush the required 472 entries.
