Event #3: $670 NLH Day 1A ($600 + $70)
| Date: | Feb 27, 1 PM |
| Blinds: | 40 Minutes |
| Starting Stack: | 30k |
| Late Entry: | 9 Levels (~8:15 PM) |
| Day 1 Ends: | 12.5% of the Field |
The first multi-day game of the season kicks off at 1 PM on Friday, Feb 27. Players in Event #3 get 30k in chips for their $670, with Day 1a action running Friday, and Day 1b running as a bigger redo of 1a on Saturday.
Blinds for the full event will be 40 minutes, and players have 9 levels to buy in or rebuy during Day 1 play. That should mean the entry desk closes at about 8:15 PM for both starting days.
Day 1 plays as long as needed to get the starting field down to 12.5% of its original total after entries close, with the remaining players bagging up for money play on Sunday’s Day 2. All players returtning for Day 2 on Sunday are guaranteed at least a min-cash, and this is a “best stack forward” event, meaning players can bag a stack in Day 1a, then try to bag bigger in 1b.
If they bag both days, the bigger bag will play on Day 2, with the smaller bag scoring an immediate min-cash. In recent series, multiple players have managed a couple of scores in these sorts of PPT events, including local clothing supplier Kris Steinbach.
I may not make the opening levels of this one, but I’ll be kicking off my 2026 PPT reporting with this game on Friday, after Alek Gillies covered the opening day’s action. Alek will be popping in throughout the series to help out with some late events.
