First of Three Starting Flights for the Deepstack

Date:Day 1a: Jul 31, PM
Blinds:30 Minutes
Starting Stack:25k
Late Entry:11 Levels (~8:45 PM)
Day 1 Ends:Level 16 or 10% of the Field

The opening flight for the $340 Deepstack gets underway on Thursday at 2 PM. This is the first of three flights through Saturday, with Day 2 action playing on Sunday, Aug 3.

Players get 25k in chips to start, and levels are 30 minutes long throughout the game, until there are 18 players left on Day 2, when blinds will jump to 40 minutes. There are 11 levels of late entry, which should mean the last entry is recorded around 8:45 PM. After that, the game plays to Level 16, or until they reach 10% of the starting field. Hand for hand play will start at 10%+1 on Day 1 play.

This game will be my main focus on Thursday, but I will likely be a bit late to the floor. I should be on task well before the first break.

So far, we haven’t seen Chief at this Summer Super Stack, but I’d be surprised to see him miss this game and pass up the chance to go back-to-back.
