Hugh Fowler became the shorter of the two stacks during heads-up, after losing with a big pot where both opponents held a straight (Nikhila Sakinala’s being the higher one). Shortly after that, Fowler picked up kings and managed to double up once, and then, he won some pots here and there to close the gap somewhat.

When he’d managed to get his stack to 9,250,000, it all went in the middle again.

The 376 flop was straight from a Hollywood picture. Fowler secured the win on the J turn, though, and the 9 river was dealt as a pure formality. Fowler managed to reclaim the chiplead.
