Carpenter had pocket nines, and he ended up running out to a straight for the win to survive the bubble, while Robert Cicchelli, who flopped the nut flush draw, and was all in for the rest of his stack against a bigger stack, bricked the draw and ended as the first player to cash.
Nate Rajakumar was going to be forced all in in the next hand, with Mike Malm also facing a forced all-in within a few hands, and Jordan Banfield surviving an all-in just before the bubble, so it was pretty likely that the bubble would burst relatively quickly.
