Jeff Clarke Defeats Shane Hall Heads Up

Event #10 was the main game today, and as expected, the structure of this one didn’t allow me to watch any of it. Jeff Clarke and Shane Hall played a relatively short heads-up match. They started pretty close in stacks, but Clarke had led the way for most of the final table.

This was Clark’s first PPT trophy, though technically, he gave one up last year in Event #9 at the Tournament of Champions. He won that event, but his heads-up opponent, Jody Ashton, had travelled in from Ontario, and he really wanted to take a trophy home, so Clarke made a deal to take the win, but let Ashton pack up the crystal.

This time, Clarke kept the trophy and won the game outright for his second live win.
