It was an exciting Day for Matt Staples as he fired into Day 1b of the Mini Main. With high expectations for himself and the pressure of being a PartyPoker Ambassador, Staples didn’t disappoint battling to find a bag by the end of the day. Staples recalled a few key hands incuding getting pocket kings against pocket aces.

He was able to avoid losing his entire stack and battle back to a healthy amount by the end of the day. He bagged with a stack of 118,500 coming back to level 12* (2,000/4,000/4,000). *Subject to change based off the shortest Day 1. His brother Jaime Staples plans to jump into the action on Day 1d. An extra incentive is in play as a friendly competition between the brothers will leave both hoping to out-compete each other. Stay tuned for all the Day 1c action and remaining Day 1 action, as the Mini Main ramps towards a thrilling conclusion.
