Mehmet Siginc Wins Second Ring in NLH/PLO Mix

Mehmet Siginc, Winner of Event #2

Mehmet Siginc was a big stack for most of the final table tonight, and he was able to ride that big stack to his second Circuit ring in Event #2. He held steady with one of the top stacks from 10-handed down to the end.

In the final phase, he was heads up with quadruple ring winner Nicholas Lee, who was looking for his fifth. Lee was nearly out in 3rd tonight when he shoved over a raise from Siginc, but ran into pocket queens for Amir Khan. Lee was making a move with king-six, but found his king for a huge double up, and left Khan on fumes, sending the west coast player out in 3rd.

Lee was very short coming into heads up, and it looked like it might be a quick finish for Siginc. Lee had other ideas, finding doubles when he needed to, but for most of heads up, he was barely staying alive, with less than 10 bigs. Lee did manage to double up into a slight lead at one point right before the end, but a few hands later, when Siginc had retaken a small lead, they got it in when Lee shoved king-ten, and Siginc called ace-nine, with the ace-nine holding for the win.

Siginc’s first ring came in 2023 when he won the $1k Turbo, and this looks to be his fourth-best score, pushing his lifetime earnings to more than $350k.
