It was a huge setup for Julius Roque over Mike Flanagan. I arrived at the table just in time to see the final carnage as Flanaganbet 300k on the river on a board of 9♦6♣Q♠3♠9♠ and then snapped it off when Roque shoved.
Roque was at risk, but he’d flopped two pair with nine-six of hearts against Flanagan’s turned two pair with nine-three of clubs. That doubled Roque to a huge lead and left Flanagan on fumes, which he burned off on the very next hand.
