Michael St. Pierre-Porter just jumped into a huge lead after he flopped a set of ducks against Mike Malm’s jacks. Malm opened the button to 60k, and St. Pierre-Porter called.
On the 4♣2♥4♥ flop, St. Pierre-Porter check-called for 30k. The 8♦ turn is where it all kicked off. St. Pierre-Porter checked again, then shoved after Malm made it 190k. Malm called with an overpair of jacks, but it was no good against the flopped boat with deuces for St. Pierre-Porter.
Malm was dead to a jack or a four, and neither came when the river bricked. Malm technically had the biggest stack at the time, but he covered St. Pierre-Porter by less than 100k, so he was on fumes after the hand, and the rest went in shortly after to send the trophy to St. Pierre-Porter.
