Vygerdas Jonikas opened to 2,500 from UTG. Tomas Muraška raised to 7,500 from the Button. Bahadir Hatipoglu called without hesitation from the Big Blind, and after some consideration, Jonikas threw in the chips for a call as well.
The flop came 6♥9♣8♣. Hatipoglu and Jonikas both checked, prior to Muraška continuing for 8,000. Hatipoglu got out of the way, while Jonikas decided to make the call.
Jonikas checked again on the Q♣ turn, and now, Muraška fired 13,000. After perhaps two minute’s worth of consideration – and aLithuanian exchange of words between them two – Jonikas made the call.
The river fell 7♣. Jonikas completed the check trifecta, and Muraška bet 43,500; more than half of what Jonikas had left. Jonikas folded within ten seconds. As he collected the pot, Muraška revealed his A♠A♣ holdings.
