The Day 1b field is looking good with 122 entries in the pool after the first break of the day. The big prizes this week are bringing out players, as I saw Dave Howat in the mix for the first time this, as well as Sunny Lubana checking into the hotel. Rob Lothian, Pav Braich, and Ali Razzaq are also down from Edmonton for their first games this series.
One other player to watch today will be Homan Mohammadi. He’s on fire this week after arriving on Tuesday. He’s played two games since he got here — he cashed for 5th place in the 6-Max the day he arrived after being up for nearly 24 hours. Yesterday, he jumped into the PLO Megastack and about 12 hours later, was getting his winner’s photo taken. Given his performance so far, I fully expect to see Mohammadi figuring in the endgame of this one.
