Nicholas Peterson’s day started slow as his tournament life seemed average. However, he battled his way to the final table. With shallow stacks and an average of just 12 bb per player, Peterson crept up the count finding elimination after elimination. When he wasn’t knocking out players, he was stealing blinds and pots whenever possible.
He found a key elimination against Lee Spence, as a massive underdog. He flipped the odds flopping a full house, and sent Spence to the rail. From there, it was a cakewalk as Peterson silently demolished the remaining players with finesse.
Peterson has never had a second place finish, and today was no exception. Brouwer found a double flopping a straight against Peterson’s over cards. However it didn’t last, as Peterson sixes held in a flip to secure him another PPT trophy.
