Live poker is hot in Greece, and the Greek Poker Odyssea is the living proof of this. What is lacking in the Greek poker community, though, is women. There are not many female poker players in Greece, let alone in Day 1b of the €600 Main Event.
There are a few, however. Hristina Nikolova arrived in Thessaloniki a few days ago, and yesterday, she managed to win a Main Event ticket through the €115 Last Chance Hyper Satellite. Now she’s in Day 1b, and she’s here to win the trophy.
While Nikolova may lack a Greek flag on The Hendon Mob, she is a force to be reckoned with. She’s been cashing regularly in live events since 2022, and her second-place in the лв880 Main Event during the 2025 Palms Royale Poker Series for $25,560 stands out. When asked about her current table and her opponents’ skill level, Nikolova pondered for a few seconds before stating, “I’m not sure for now.”
It’ll be intriguing following Nikolova’s journey today and see if she’ll be able to make a deep run in the Main Event.
