In the final hand before the break, Todd Oakley went huge against the chip leader, Ramaz Haymour. Oakley opened the pt from the button, making it 120k to go. Ramaz Haymour defended his big blind with a three-bet to 280k and Oakley called.
They both checked the 6♥2♠J♠ flop, and Haymour led for 150k on the 7♦ turn.Oakleyt called, then, after a check from Haymour on the K♣ river, he fired huge for 725k, essentially a pot bet.
Haymour hit the tank for several minutes, thinking well into the break before he finally mucked his hand. He said while he was thinking that he thought he had Oakley all the way to the river, but Oakley was confident he was good the whole way. Neither player showed their hand, so it’s an open question which hand was best, but Oakley took the chips.
