Annas Chergui may have had a good run in yesterday’s €450 Monsterstack Mystery Bounty, but Andreas Paliogiannis had an even better one. He won the tournament after defeating Georgios Mylonas heads-up and earned himself €14,407. According to his profile on The Hendon Mob, that’s almost double what he’d earned in total before.

Paliogiannis took his seat fairly recently in the tournament; he may be down to 75,000 from the 100,000 start stack, but with the skills he displayed yesterday, no doubt he will be able to recover. I also asked him if he’s excited to go to Malta; during yesterday’s tournament, he pulled the envelope that granted him a €600 Main Event buy-in for the 2025 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition, as well as a four-night hotel stay.

Naturally, Paliogiannis is very excited, but first, he’s going for back-to-back wins here in Thessaloniki during the 2025 Greek Poker Odyssea.
