PLO Deepstack Hyper on the Friday Side

Date:Nov 21, 6 PM
Blinds:15 Minutes
Starting Stack:50k
Late Entry:11 Levels (~9:15 PM)
Day 1 Ends:One-Day Event

This relatively new format has proven popular in the last few series, combining deep stacks with hyper-fast blind levels. The format comes in two versions, with the four-card version running alongside Day 1a of Event #3 on the first Friday of the series.

Action kicks off at 6 PM with 50k in chips. Blinds will increase every 15 minutes, so the action is sure to be hot from the start in this one. Late entry is open for 3 hours and 15 minutes, closing when the return from the second break for the start of Level 12. The one-day event will finish out after that, but don’t expect it to be very late, as this one tends to play fast right to the end.

Nate Habte (L) & Eric Taylor (R)

In September’s PPT #4, Eric Taylor chopped it up for the win over Nate Habte. They both pocketed a bit more than $4.5k in the HU deal, with Taylor taking down the trophy afterwards when he hit a king-high straight with the chips in the middle.

Alek Gillies will be doing the reporting on this one, with the caveat that his focus will be on Day 1a of Event #3 for most of the day. I’ll be back in the reporter’s booth starting Tuesday to finish out the series.
