The rest of the table has decided Qiang Qiu is playing some solid street poker. He doesn’t speak much English, and Kyle Dery, who is fluent in Chinese, has been helping him out a bit with translations, but he seems to understand the game pretty well.
In a recent hand, Brett Worton raised the middle, and Jakub Sujata called from the hijack. Qiu called the small blind, and big blind Jordan Matsui came along as well.
The flop was 5♥4♥3♣, and Qiu shoved a huge stack. All three players folded, and Qiu showed the nuts with seven-six. That got the table talking, but he wasn’t done.
A few hands later, Qiu limped in under the gun, and Brett Worton called from the button, while big blind Sunny Lubana checked his option. Lubana checked the A♦5♣6♦ flop before Qiu fired 500k into the pot, prompting both players to fold. He showed an ace as he collected the pot.
