Ryan Comely is the PLO champ in this series, as he has just taken down the PLO Main. Earlier in the week, Comlely bagged the win in the $560 NLH game, and now he’s come through for the win in the PLO Main as well.
Comely was one of the shorter stacks coming back into the money play for today, with his heads-up opponent, Cam Stewart, in the lead. Comely played a patient game through the day to stay alive, and when he got heads up against Stewart, he was about 3:1 down.
That changed in a hurry when Comely hit a runner-runner straight for a double to the lead, and then, just a few hands later, found another straight to the ten to crack the two-pair for Stewart and take down the win. It’s unclear whether Comely will jump into the two-card Main flight today, but either way, it’s a lock that he’ll be taking a shot tomorrow.
