The Seniors game is the early game on Sunday, and it’s really early. Cards go in the air at 10 AM, and entries for the event are restricted to players 50 years of age or older.
Blinds will be 30 minutes long, and players start the day with 20k. Entries are open for 8 levels, with the desk closing at about 2:30 PM. After that, it’ll be a race to the finish as they’ll finish this game in one day.
I likely won’t be watching this one very closely, at least not until after Day 2 of Event #4 finishes. This game should be my second priority, however, so if it’s still running once E4 finishes, I’ll move here. Either way, I’ll still get the results and numbers published, but don’t expect a lot of coverage of this one.
In January, this was a massive game with 564 entries and $186,120 in prizes. Cal Johnson won it, with Carlos Alaniz and Gord Chester rounding out the podium spots. Given the other numbers so far this week, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this game meet or beat the January numbers.
