Veli-Pekka Penttinen raised to 625,000 on the button with A♥7♠, applying pressure to the blinds with a larger raise. Shaul Weinstein looked down at 6♥6♣ and wasted no time moving all-in. Penttinen just needed a quick count before making the call. It wasn’t a classic coin flip, but it was an exciting showdown nonetheless.
The flop came Q♠4♥9♣, missing both players. The 9♦ on the turn though added three queens as additional outs for Penttinen.
The river delivered the inevitable: an A♣, sending Weinstein to the rail in heartbreaking fashion.
Still, fourth place in the 2026 Kings of Tallinn Main Event marks Weinstein’s best result to date, and one he can be proud of after an impressive performance in the tournament.
