Vidar Assersen open-shoved for 185,000 from the Lo-jack. Latvia’s Krisjanis Stankevics moved all in for roughly 250,000 from the Small Blind, and the two of them were soon heads-up to the flop.

Assersen was out on deep water, and things didn’t look any brighter on the J2A flop. “Seven’s always coming,” Assersen’s Norwegian friend told him from the rail. Said and done, Assersen improved to two-pair on the 7 turn, and the 9 river didn’t see Stankevics reclaim the lead. As such, Assersen received a full double-up, taking the larger chunk out of Stankevics’ stack.
