A few more players proudly wearing the PartyPoker patch have joined the mix. PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples was off to a great start. He opened UTG on Blinds 400/800 and got three callers. Action was checked to Staples on the Q93 flop, and he continued for 7,000. One of his opponents then raised to 15,000, and another player cold-called. Back to Staples, who decided to pull the trigger; he moved all in for 40,000. The re-raiser committed his 20,000 stack to the call before the third contestant mucked his hand.

Staples improved to trips on the Q turn, and the 4 didn’t see his opponent hitting the nut flush. As such, Staples now plays a very good stack.

According to his Instagram, Jaime’s brother Matt Staples (also a PartyPoker Team Pro) is spending the day sightseeing in Córdoba to get over the jet lag. It’s an educated guess we’ll see him in one of the other three starting-day flights of the €150 Mini Main Event.
