Day 1c ended in the kind of hand that usually happens in the movies. After an early shove, Shane Chief called off with less. In Spring 2025, Chief ran this tournament down from the nut short stack. Eric Davis was in the blinds and outstacked both all-in players.
The first player to shove had pocket queens, and it looked like they were in pretty good shape, and both Chief and Davis tabled ace-king, blocking each other’s outs. But we all know blockers aren’t real, and the ace came on the flop. Chief got a triple up, Davis added a bit to his stack, and the queens went out on the bubble.
Stay tuned for the 25 stacks moving on, followed by a Day 2 post with the seat assignments.
