On the stone bubble, Michelle Baldie raised to 20,000 from the Hi-jack. Action folded to William Henderson in the Big Blind, who forced Baldie all in for 96,000 in total. Baldie made the call, and the players revealed their holdings.
William Henderson: A♥9♦
Michelle Baldie: A♠Q♠
Baldie was ahead, and the 10♣5♠7♥ flop didn’t concern her too much. “Eight of spades on the turn for the sweat?” Henderson joked. “No, thank you,” Baldie humourously replied, as all the spectators shared a laugh. It wasn’t spades, but the other black eight, the 8♣, fell on the turn. Henderson now picked up additional outs, as he now had a up-and-down straight draw to go with his pair of nines.
Sad news for Baldie, as Henderson did improve to a straight on the J♦. The whole tournament area shouted “whoah” as a collective, as Baldie became the unfortunate one to who bubbled.
That means that the remaining 39 players now all are guaranteed a £1,000 min-cash.
