Roughly 30 minutes into hand-for-hand play, the floor announced one last hand would be played before the break. During this hand, action folded to short-stacked Kevin Ferrer, who open-shoved for 52,000. Seated in the Big Blind, Mark Ridley made the call; considering he would be left with 49,000 if he lost the hand, you got the feeling he had a decent hand. Soon enough, the two contestants got the green light to reveal their holdings.

Ridley was ahead, but Ferrer could still hit an ace or other shenanigans. Both players picked up a straight draw on the QJ10 flop. Ridley hit his draw on the 9, and received an additional flush draw. Things weren’t looking good for Ferrer, and ultimately, he became the unfortunate bubble boy, as the Q ended his tournament life.

With that, the remaining 41 players are now all in the money, guaranteed a £1,000 min-cash. They are on a break, and the poker.pro editorial office will soon return with the chip counts of the biggest stacks.
