The Monster Approaches

It’s time for the Monster Stack. Traditionally, this tends to be one of the biggest fields of the series, and given the numbers so far, it seems like this series will be no different. The Day 1a action kicks off at 11 AM in the Sundance room.

All players start with 40k in chips, and blinds are 30 minutes long for Day 1 play. Entries are open for 12 levels, with the final shot at entry at about 6:15 PM. After that, they play down to 5% of the field or the end of Level 24, whichever comes first.

Corey Arsenault, winner of the Monster Stack

In October, Corey Arsenault picked up his first of two rings in the Monster Stack. He made it through a field of 1,203 to get heads-up against Anthony Casten. Arsenault was down to less than a big blind at one point in the endgame before mounting a huge comeback for the win. Casten was in the game with a max-late reg for 10 bigs, and spun that up to heads up.
