The trend so far in this series has been big fields that beat both series from 2025. Jan 2025 was the second biggest series ever for WSOP-C Calgary, with $5,740,395 in total prizes. That was less than $100k under the Jan 2024 record of $5,808,951.
After the Mini Main Event set a new regional record, crushing the record Jan 2024 4-Flight numbers, it started to look like this series was going to be the biggest ever, and the interest in the Monster Stack so far continues to bear that delicious fruit. Day 1a of this Monster game is the biggest Monster 1a so far here in Calgary, surpassing both the Jan 2024 & Jan 2025 1a numbers (Jan 2025 was the biggest Monster Stack ever in Calgary).
The final flight to the Monster runs on Wednesday at 11 am, and players can buy in for 12 levels. The desk should close for this one around 6:15 PM. Players start with 40k, and play 30-minute levels on Day 1, with the hard stop after 24 levels, or at 5% of the field, whichever comes first.
It remains to be seen what the turnout for 1b will be. 1b of the record 2025 game saw 947 entries, but with 1a significantly ahead of last year, and with the huge turnouts across the rest of the events, the final Monster flight could easily hit four digits, and will likely compete for the second-biggest field ever here at WSOP-C Calgary.
