Trevor Simpson Sunrun’s to His First WSOP Bracelet In the Seniors ($34,698)

Trevor Simpson 2026 WSOP $400 Seniors Winner

Much like the rest of the series this far, The 2026 Event #6: $400 Seniors shattered expectations on the way to crowning another champion. This year’s iteration drew 539 entries to create a prize pool of $168,977. Standing atop is none other than Calgary’s own Trevor Simpson.

Simpson came into Day 2 as the second short stack among the remaining eleven players. However, he didn’t let that get him down as he persevered slowly building his stack up bit by bit. Kevin Kemna found the first three opening eliminations with rapid pace to bring play down to eight-handed. Darren Ryan and Simpson, were the short stacks that just wouldn’t hit the rail.

Simpson found multiple double-ups to build up to a healthy stack for the first time in the late stages of the tournament. From here he eliminated Pamela Lafleur with the pair both having an ace. Simpson’s superior kicker allowed him to soar to nearly 3,000,000 in chips.

It was at this point Simpson decided the trophy was his for the taking, he found elimination after elimination entering heads-up play with a 4.5/1 chip lead. After a short battle, Kemna moved all in for his remaining short stack with 94. Simpson took no time to call with ace-king and flopped best. The turn had Kenma officially drawing dead as Simpson excitedly celebrated with friends and players among the table.
