The side game on Wednesday is the Turbo $1k. This game is basically a “Second chance” on the two-day $1k that started on Monday, but with quicker blinds.
The action kicks off at 4 PM, and players have 11 levels to buy in. That should put the last buy-in at about 8:10 PM. After that, they’ll play down to the ring before the day ends.
In October, Harpreet Gill powered through the 164-entry field in this one to take down the win over Mike Leah, one of Canada’s winningest players. Gill pocketed $35,195 of the $143,500 and put his first Circuit ring on at the end of the game.
