Jacques Arama Bags the Biggest in First £150 poker.pro PLO4/5 Flight

It was around 13:30 when poker host Glenn Brown picked up the poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén at Gatwick airport today, September 2. After a splendid luncheon, they got back in the car and drove off to Genting Casino Stratford, London. The duo was excited, steering the ship towards the Beer Poker Tour.

This particular edition of the Beer Poker Tour started yesterday, September 1, with the €130 Happy Hour NLH. It was a cozy start to what definitely is one of the most fun and relaxing live poker events in the world.

However, the poker.pro live coverage would start today, on Tuesday. The whole team at poker.pro are thrilled to have the self-branded event that is the €150 poker.pro PLO4/5 on the Beer Poker Tour scheduled, and Tuesday’s schedule featured the first out of four starting-day flights.

The turnout was expected to be somewhat on the lighter side, considering the tournament commenced at 17:30 on a weekday. Nevertheless, when late registration closed after the first eight 30-minute levels, 25 entries had been made in the tournament, meaning €3,153 had been contributed to the prize pool. Sam Acheampong and JJ Hazan were two of the more familiar names in the mix, but neither was alive when late registration closed. Instead, they decided to late-register for the €130 Happy Hour NLH PKO.

For all starting-day flights of the poker.pro PLO4/5, 13 % of the field will move on to Day 2 (and by doing so, be in the money). Considering Day 1a scored 25 entries, four lucky contestants would eventually advance. Play went on, and not too long after midnight, “Mr. X” was eliminated in fifth place, which meant the four following players all received a bag for Day 2.

It became evident during this day how much the players appreciate the relaxed yet exciting atmosphere that the Beer Poker Tour offers, and if the following days are anything like what we’ve experienced today, all visitors are in for a treat.
