Jason Glatzer entered the inaugural Poker Experience Tour event with two goals. The first was to break his duck in this casino and actually get a cash here, having soft bubbled here frequently, with not a squeak of a cash. He achieved his first goal by reaching the final table, but with the smallest stack of the ten remaining players. 

His second goal was the trophy, which he has been lusting after for the last few days here at the Beer Poker Tour.

He soon improved his chances of achieving goal number two, moving up the chip chart with a couple of early double ups. As players started to bust, he began climbing the cash ladder too. One by one players fell by the wayside and by the time Jason got heads up with Sam Anderson, he held the chip lead of 1.1m to 660k. 

Sam began aggressively and the stacks became more even, before Jason won a pot that re-established his chip lead. Just a few hands later, they both found cards good enough to commit with and got the chips in the middle.

Jason cashed for £865 for first place and took over £1,000 in bounties. Congratulations, you came, you saw and you conquered. Guess we don’t need to ask who’s buying the beers tonight!

In conversation with Glenn Brown afterwards, Glatzer paid tribute to his heads up opponent, noting also have been a worthy winner. He then confirmed the obvious, that he’s “absolutely thrilled and honoured to be the first ever Poker Experience Champion. He also acknowledged that he has his work cut out to try and defend his title at the next Beer Poker Tour event.
