KKPoker has been growing in the Canadian market recently, through a growing online user base, as well as through online satellites to big live events. While those satellites may be a common feature in other markets, the regulatory structure of Canadian gaming makes partnerships between land-based casinos and online rooms tricky. As a result, until KKPoker joined the conversation a few years back, finding online entries for big live events in Canada was very difficult.
KKPoker worked around the regulatory hurdles by creating satellites that were unaffiliated with the target event. That is, the online poker site took it upon themselves to build and run the games with the target being entry to big games across Canada, like WSOP-C events in Calgary and Montreal.
That initiative helped them grow in the Canadian market, and part of the result is a series of Canadian live events, KKLive. These events are an innovative mix of online and live Day 1 action in various locations around the country, before qualifiers convene for the big Day 2 action.
On November 22, the latest edition of KKLive Montreal 2025 concludes by crowning a winner at the Plaza Universel in Montreal. Day 2 of KKLive is just one of three feature events, with the day also including an invitation-only freeroll and a side event for $500.
KKLive Concludes 2025 in Montreal
The 2025 KKLive season is set to conclude at the end of November in Montreal. The tour will be taking over the ballrooms at Plaza Universel for their final showdown.
Day 2 of the Main Event runs at noon on Nov 22, but that is just the first of three games on the go. A $2k freeroll that runs at 1 PM, with players able to earn their ticket to the game through online promotions in KKPoker.
Note that the freeroll capacity is limited to 70 entries, so seats will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Nine players will get a share of the $2k prize pool later in the day. The day of poker will also feature a final side event, starting at 2 PM for $500.
KKLive Day 2
While Day 2 of KKLive Montreal will play out at Plaza Universel in the City of Saints, Day 1 will take place in living rooms across the country. The innovative structure allows players to qualify through Day 1 flights online.
Day 1 action started way back in September, and there are already more than 20 players waiting for the Day 2 action. There are still weekly shots at a Day 2 seat running online every Sunday on KKPoker.
Hotel & Travel
Online qualifiers for Day 2 will also get a bit of extra travel help getting to Montreal. The travel allowance varies by province, as a result of the varied travel costs in a country the size of Canada, with travel packages ranging from $200-$600.
Players traveling to the game from out of town can also get a deal on their hotel. There is one free night accommodation included in the Day 2 packages for the Main event, but players traveling in for the freeroll or side event, or Main package winners who want an extra night, can use the code “PMG Group – Christmas Party Special Rate Discount” will get a room reserved at the rate of $160/night.
