The 2025 No Filter Poker Series Nordic & Baltic Championship Open brought tons of new energy during the first four days, with two more days of action at OlyBet’s flagship home, Olympic Park Casino, and the adjoining Hilton Tallinn Park will bring an exciting climax.
Monday witnessed the final two of five opening flights of the €1,100 No Filter Main Event, with 285 entries creating a €270,750 prize pool and counting. Figures will continue to grow in this unique event, which guarantees at least €100,000 to the winner for the first three 40-minute blind levels of Day 2 when action resumes on Monday at Noon. Tuesday will witness a champion being crowned on the OlyBet Poker live stream to conclude the festival in style.
Estonian poker legend Ranno Sootla leads the way after parlaying his 50,000 opening stack into 333,000. Sootla will forever be known as the first Kings of Tallinn Main Event champion a decade ago in 2015. He has added many accolades over the years, including earning a WSOP Circuit Tallinn gold ring in 2023 after shipping the €660 Mystery Bounty.
Sootla is not the only former champion with a healthy stack. Finland’s Kai Lehto, who won the 2023 Kings of Tallinn Summer Showdown Main Event, is just behind Sootla with 320,000, while 2020 Kings of Tallinn Johan Karlsson is in fourth place with 291,000. Also in the top five to start Day 2 are the formidable Finnish duo Mikael Haapaniemi (third – 308,000) and Henri Antikainen (fifth – 288,000). OlyBet Events via its media partner poker.pro will update throughout the day with the PokerNews team back reporting on the floor after a day off to live report Day 2 and the final day on Tuesday.
While many chose to battle in the Main Event, others were busy trophy hunting on Monday’s two one-day side events. The defending No Filter Main Event champion Rohan Oberoi already bagged up 93,500 in the Main Event and made the most of his day off by shipping the €350 NLH Deep Stack for €6,650.
Sweden swept the board with Gustav Söderholm earning the trophy in the €555 NLH Progressive Bounty for €3,350 plus bounties.
Meanwhile, the evening witnessed a legendary €25/€50 live-streamed cash game, with games rotating between no-limit hold’em, four-card PLO, and five-card PLO. No Filter founder Mounir Tajiou was among the players entertaining the masses, with legends Michael Mizrachi, Juha Helppi, Kai Lehto, and Joonas Helin also making an appearance.
