Day 3 of the inaugural No Filter Poker Series would be the culmination point of the entire series. During this sunny Saturday in Tallinn, a winner would be crowned in the €1,100 Main Event. A juicy €555 NLH Progressive Bounty 8-Max side event was also on the schedule, as well as the highly anticipated Players’ Party.

Day 2 of the Main Event was scheduled to begin at 12:00. The 36 players who initially moved on from Day 1 would be joined by those who registered late during the penultimate day. When the period for late registration closed, 108 players remained, and they were all fighting for the €27,300 first-place payout.

When Martin Lang busted in place 14, the remaining 13 competitors were all in the money. Considering the No Filter Poker Series primarily was created to offer Swedish poker players legal, easily available ways to play live poker, it’s not much of a surprise that nine of the final 13 all were representing the yellow-and-blue flag.

Eventually, the nine-handed final table was set. No Filter Poker Series founders Mounir Tajiou and Michel Karim were both still in the mix, as was Jan Risberg, who won the €200 NLH event during the first day of the festival. Karim would be the first one to leave the final table, though, as he busted out in ninth place. Tajiou would join him on the rail not too long after, as he went out in seventh place. According to Swedish poker legend Lina Olofsson’s Instagram, Tajiou promised to donate 20 % of his winnings to the Players’ Party if he won the tournament. Let’s assume the party still was a roaring success.

When Majid Rostami went out in fourth place, the three remaining players decided to make a deal. They shared most of the remaining prize pool between them before continuing to play for a symbolic amount and, of course, the coveted trophy.

The heads-up battle was between Rohan Oberoi and Risberg. The question was if Risberg would be able to capture his second title of the series. Eventually, the two warriors would get it all in the middle before the flop. The QJ of Risberg was up against Oberoi and his K6 holdings. The 10764A board would settle it. Oberoi sealed the victory with a spade flush, and such, he became the first-ever winner of the No Filter Poker Series.

The €555 NLH Progressive Bounty 8-Max side event was a nice feature for the players who were no longer in the Main Event. A total of 31 entries created a €8,525 prize pool; Finland’s Mikael Happaniemi and Sweden’s Johan Karlsson would get the most of it, as they did a deal heads-up, both of them walking away with €2,835.

Today is the last day of the No Filter Poker Series. It’s all rounding off with the €200 NLH No Filter Closer Turbo in fitting fashion. No Filter Poker Series sought out to satisfy the live poker needs of Swedes; by the looks of it, it is mission accomplished. The excitement for upcoming No Filter Poker Series events is already brewing. Before that, though, OlyBet will host the 2025 WSOPC Tallinn, from July 25 to August 3.
