Cyprus is about to become the epicenter of high-stakes poker action this August with the debut of the Onyx Super High Roller Series, running from August 9-21 at the luxurious Merit Royal Diamond Resort. Presented by the Onyx Club, this elite series features 12 prestigious events, and it’s not just prize money on the line—one player will walk away with a $110,000 Triton Poker Jeju package, including a seat in the $100,000 Main Event and $10,000 in travel expenses.
High Stakes and Lavish Prizes
Kicking off the post-WSOP high roller calendar, the Onyx SHRS will showcase No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $10,400 to $102,000, alongside their signature high-stakes cash game action. The series begins on August 9 with GGMillion$ Day 1A, a $10,400 buy-in event featuring a $5 million guarantee.
The spotlight then turns to the $25,750 Onyx Main Event, which runs from August 12–15 and also boasts a $5 million guarantee. Other highlights include the $51,000 NLH Championship (Aug 17–18) and the $51,000 PLO Championship (Aug 20–21).
Onyx SHRS Invitational Events
The Onyx SHRS Invitational event brings together a curated mix of elite professionals, successful business figures, and VIPs from around the world, adding an exclusive layer to the festival. This year, two special invitationals have been added to the schedule and keeping in line with the format, professionals wishing to participate must be partnered with an invited non-professional player.
- NLH Invitational (Aug 16–18): Similar to CoinRiver or Trition invitational, invited players and top professionals will play in separate Day 1 flights before merging fields for Day 2.
- PLO Invitational (Aug 19–21): For the first time in industry history, and responding to player demand, a $100,000 PLO Invitational takes place, offering high-stakes PLO action in an invite-only format.
Leaderboard Race With a Triton Jeju Package
Onyx has partnered with Triton Poker to bring an added layer of excitement to the Onyx Super High Roller Series. Players will earn points for each event they participate in, and the player with the most points at the end of the series will be crowned Player of the Series, claiming the $100K seat to the Triton SHRS Jeju Main Event, plus $10K in travel expenses for flights and accommodation.
Please note: the invitationals do not count toward the Onyx Player of the Series leaderboard.
