Monday, March 16, was a big day for PartyPoker. After a successful inaugural year in 2025, the PartyPoker Tour revealed that the tour would expand to Spain in 2026. Casino Admiral in Seville was destined to be the first venue to welcome the 2026 PartyPoker Tour on Spanish Soil, and the festival kicked off on the aforementioned Monday with a big opening flight for the €150 Mini Main Event. At the end of the night, 34 players bagged their chips for Day 2, one of them being the legendary Niall “Firaldo” Farrell, who is a PartyPoker Tour Ambassador.
Crawford Gets the Job Done
The 2026 PartyPoker Tour kicked off in January with the first stop in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Now, the tour has officially become international, as the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Sheffield is in full swing. The event kicked off on Monday, March 16, and the seven-day festival will conclude on Sunday, March 22. This is the first out of a total of three stops for the tour in Spain this year, and just after the first day, it’s evident that PartyPoker are setting the bar high.

The first day of the Seville action featured one tournament and one satellite. The one who might’ve thought it would be a slow start was wrong. Day 1a of the €150 Mini Main Event kicked off at 17:00, and when late registration closed after the first nine 30-minute levels, the tournament told the story of 228 entries. This meant that this was the biggest-ever PartyPoker Tour Mini Main Event flight, surpassing the 172 entries scored in one of the flights during the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London Spring Edition. If the remaining flights here in Seville are similar, PartyPoker will make quick work of the €50,000 guarantee.

Considering all starting-day flights of the tournament play down to 15% of the field, the floor soon announced that 34 players would make it through to Day 2. Three PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors were still in the mix at this point. Rebecca Hardisty and Bárbara Jiminez both were eliminated roughly 20 minutes into Level 10, while Firaldo had an impressive stack. PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples was also still in the mix, having around 20 Big Blinds to work with at this point. Staples survived a couple more levels before ultimately losing his last 12 Big Blinds with J♦8♦ against the opponent’s A♠7♥.
Meanwhile, Firaldo was going strong, keeping the PartyPoker patch alive. Another player who was also putting the pedal to the metal was Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford. Having a WSOP Circuit Bracelet to her name, Crawford has proved through consistently good results that she’s a fearsome player. As if she weren’t a force to be reckoned with already, she won a humongous three-way pot where she rivered the nut flush, which saw her soaring to the top of the chip counts with 40 players remaining.

Around 02:30, the tournament came to an end, as the bubble burst before hand-for-hand play even had a chance to begin. Firaldo and Crawford both made it through, with Crawford securing the chip lead right before Manuel Sanchez.
