The sun was shining in Spain during the third day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville. The tour’s inaugural stop on Spanish soil was off to a stellar start, as the first three starting-day flights of the €150 Mini Main Event broke all kinds of records during the first two days of the festival. Wednesday’s schedule featured the fourth and final starting-day flight, a hyper-turbo affair scheduled at siesta time before Day 2 kicked off at 20:00 with all players in the money. While the Day 2 players contended for a place at the final table, others competed in the €200 NLH KO for a side-event title.
Crawford and Firaldo Steering the Ship
The Mini Main Event has been the highlight of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville so far. At all the tour’s UK stops in 2025, it was the most popular tournament in terms of entries, and that seems to be the case in Spain as well. Especially the Day 1a flight in Seville reached legendary status, becoming the largest-ever starting-day flight of the Mini Main Event in the one-year history of the PartyPoker Tour.

Day 1d was the fourth and final chance for players to qualify for Day 2 and be guaranteed a €300 min-cash. It was a hyper-turbo flight featuring 15-minute levels, and when late registration closed, the numbers for the Mini Main Event were confirmed. A total of 653 entries made it the third-largest Mini Main Event, only beaten by the two London stops in 2025. A total of 98 players made it through to Day 2, which kicked off roughly one hour after Day 1d wrapped up.

Two PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors had made it through to Day 2: Sam Acheampong and Niall “Firaldo” Farrell. They were accompanied by players such as PartyPoker Team Pro Matt Staples, WSOP Circuit Ring winner (and Day 1a chip leader) Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford, and several other skillful opponents. They were all competing for the €15,920 first-place prize, the biggest slice out of the €84,000 prize pool.
As was somewhat expected, Day 2 was off to a hectic start with many of the short stacks settling for the €300 min cash. Acheampong survived for a few levels, but didn’t manage a deep run. Crawford and Farrell, though, were putting all of their poker skills on full display, swiftly building up to big stacks and utilizing their chip advantages to perfection. Staples had a decent stack from time to time, but eventually got his last 10 Big Blinds in the middle with A♠K♦ against the opponent’s 2♠2♥. He didn’t manage to win the flip and was eliminated in fortieth place for €360. His fiancée, Ryana Kritzer, was still in the field but eventually went out in twenty-eighth place for €400. It was her first-ever proper live poker tournament; she was very happy with her achievements.

Play wrapped up at 03:30 when Level 26 concluded. The remaining 14 players bagged their chips for Day 3, which will kick off at 20:00 today. The featured table will be live-streamed with a 30-minute delay. Crawford is the chip leader going into the final day of the tournament, but the chips are very evenly distributed, meaning anything can still happen. Firaldo is also still in the mix, looking to become the first PartyPoker Tour Ambassador to claim a Mini Main Event title.

Ruiz Ledo Claims €200 NLH KO Trophy
Those not locking horns in the Mini Main Event were most likely tangling in the €200 NLH KO. Bounty tournaments have a certain charm, and this was destined to be a popular side event. A total of 98 entries created a €16,660 prize pool, of which €4,900 were in the form of bounties. The tournament lasted roughly eight hours the three remaining players made a deal. Play then resumed, and soon enough, Antonio Ruiz Ledo claimed the second trophy of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville and €2,620 (not including the bounties he won).

Day 3 of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is in the books, then, and the action will resume at 17:00 today. That’s when the first flight of the €500 Main Event kicks off. Several players have already secured their tickets through the satellites that have been running at Casino Admiral, and a swarm of competitors has secured their seats through PartyPoker’s sublime online qualifiers. One could argue, though, that the conclusion of the Mini Main Event is the main course of today’s succulent menu. The poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén will focus on the Mini Main Event, and the blog will follow the stream delay in order not to spoil any of the action.

In terms of side event action, the €150 PLO Masters 4/5/6 will surely see the cards flying. Perhaps, Blaise Bourgeois (who won the €100 PLO Masters Big O on Tuesday) will compete for yet another PLO title on Spanish soil. Or, perhaps, he’s ready to take his shot in the Main Event. Only time will tell.
