With just 522 players remaining in the 2025 WSOP Main Event, all eyes are on the $10,000,000 top prize and one familiar face from Sweden’s poker scene is right in the mix. Mounir Tajiou, co-founder of No Filter Poker, is currently 9th in chips and heading into Day 5 of the third-largest Main Event in WSOP history, which saw 9,735 entries creating a prize pool of $90,535,500.
Tajiou is bringing 3,250,000 chips (good for over 160 big blinds) back to the tables at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, and has already secured a $32,500 payday, but the former junior judge and attorney turned poker player/entrepreneur surely has his eyes set on the gold bracelet, supposedly worth half a million dollars.

His deep run comes at a time when No Filter Poker is making waves in the live scene, especially in Tallinn. Just last month, the inaugural No Filter Poker Series took over Olympic Park Casino in Tallinn, offering Swedish and international players a legal, player-focused poker festival in the wake of Sweden’s shrinking regulated poker landscape. Tajiou and fellow co-founder Michel Karim brought their vision to life with six unique events, a lively atmosphere, and a fun-first attitude. The highlight of the festival was €1,100 Main Event that saw Rohan Oberoi capturing the first-ever No Filter Series title and collecting €21,000, after making a three-way deal with two fellow countrymates.

Tajiou was deep in the event as well, falling in seventh place for another score in an already successful year that includes a runner-up finish in the 2025 Kings of Tallinn Main Event and multiple deep runs on the international circuit.
Now, with Tajiou making noise in Las Vegas, attention turns back to Tallinn for the upcoming 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn, scheduled for July 25 to August 3. Hosted at Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel, the WSOPC Tallinn promises 12 official ring events, over 40 side events, and a €1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event.
This year’s WSOP Circuit stop offers something for every type of poker enthusiast. From classic No Limit Hold’em to niche formats and exciting mixed-game action. For the first time ever, a WSOPC ring will be awarded in €555 Sviten Special, a five-card draw/PLO hybrid that’s hugely popular in Northern Europe. There’s also a €1,100 8-Game Championship, a €350 Women-Only event, a €1,100 Mystery Bounty, and even an online ring event to close out the series.

It’s a perfect follow-up to the Vegas series and you can expect Tajiou, along with plenty of other big names currently battling for WSOP bracelets, to make an appearance in Tallinn. Also, a little bird told us that the No Filter Poker Series might be returning to the Estonian capital in late October for a second edition. While nothing is official yet, we could hear an announcement before the WSOP Circuit begins.
