WSOP Circuit Hits Slovakia for the First Time with €3.8M Guarantees

For the first time ever, the World Series of Poker Circuit is headed to Slovakia, and it’s bringing a massive €3.8 million guaranteed prize pool with it. From August 1–12, Card Casino Bratislava will play host to 12 days of nonstop poker action as the WSOPC rolls into town with rings on the line, mixed games on the menu, and buy-ins to suit every bankroll.

This historic stop marks a major expansion for the WSOP Circuit in Europe and is set to become one of the biggest poker festivals ever held in Slovakia. With 50,000-chip starting stacks in the Main Event and multiple Day 1 flights across most headline tournaments, players are guaranteed deep structures and plenty of play — exactly what you’d expect from a Circuit-caliber event.

A New Flagship in the Heart of Europe

The series opens on August 1 with a packed Day 1 that includes the first two flights of the €350 Mini Main Event, as well as a €400 Seven Card Stud tournament — one of several non-Hold’em games on offer. Open-Face Chinese and a Mix NLH/PLO event also join the schedule, catering to fans of the growing mixed game scene in Europe.

Expect huge turnouts for the €1,500 WSOPC NLH Championship Main Event, which features five starting flights from August 7–9 and a deep 50k start stack. The tournament will unfold over three days of play, with 40-minute levels and a €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. With a structure designed for skill to shine and multiple flights to choose from—including turbo options—this event is poised to draw players from across the continent chasing both prestige and serious money.

€1 Million Guaranteed PLO Championship

One of the crown jewels of the schedule is Event 5: the €2,500 PLO Championship. This four-card battle kicks off on August 5 with three starting flights and a massive €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. With 50,000 chips to start and 30-minute levels, this is a can’t-miss event for any serious PLO player, and easily one of the biggest Omaha tournaments of the year in the region.

High Rollers and Ladies Night

For those with bigger bankrolls, the festival also features two marquee high-stakes events. Event 6 is a €3,000 NLH High Roller starting August 6, offering a €200,000 guarantee and a smooth structure with 30/45-minute levels. Then on August 8, the €5,300 Super PLO Highroller takes center stage with another 50,000-chip starting stack and a €500,000 guarantee. These two tournaments should attract some of the toughest fields of the series.

Meanwhile, Event 9: NLH Ladies Night adds some flair and inclusivity to the schedule. The €350 buy-in event runs on August 7 with a 30,000 chip stack and a €10,000 guarantee, giving women a chance to compete for a WSOPC ring in a more casual but still competitive atmosphere.

Satellites and Accessibility

In true WSOP Circuit fashion, there are satellites running virtually every day for all major events, making it easy for players to get into the action at a fraction of the cost. Whether you’re grinding the €55 Mini Main satellites or eyeing the €330 qualifier to the €2,500 PLO Championship, there are countless ways to book your seat to a bracelet-adjacent title.

GGPoker also announced satellites to the series through a €1 Step, a €15 Step, and a €150 Final Phase Satellite. Players can buy in directly to any stage and each Final Phase guarantees at least three tickets to the €1,500 Main Event.
