It was another massive day of poker action at the Alea Casino on August 7, as two starting flights of the £500 Main Event were completed, the first flight of the £250 PLO Masters took place, and two side event trophies were awarded.
Days 1b-1c of £500 Main Event
PartyPoker Tour ambassador Daniel Garcia (490,000) led 39 qualifiers from 155 entries in Day 1b, ahead of Joel Baxter (400,000) and Ben Crichton (373,000).
Plenty of other big names progressed, including fellow ambassador Rebecca Hardisty (284,000), Daniel Gormley (203,000), Andrew Hawksby (136,000) and Dara O’Kearney (105,000).
In Day 1c, Adam Green (390,000) topped 13 qualifiers from 52 runners, which included PartyPoker Tour ambassador Niall Farrell (264,000).
The final starting flight, Day 1d, is underway, with 40 entries gathered thus far, and late registration closing shortly. The prize pool currently stands at £155,750, far in excess of the £111,821 gathered in 2025.
The players will return for Day 2 at 4 p.m. on August 8, to blinds of 1,500/3,000 (3,000), with a total of 78 players having secured their seats thus far.
Details of Day 1d qualifiers, the Day 2 seating draw, and payouts will follow as soon as possible after the conclusion of Day 1d.
