The last hand before the dinner break, action folded to PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Niall “Firaldo” Farrell, who opened to 3,100 from UTG+1. “No, no, NO!” he shouted in panic as Olivian Vadean made the call from the Big Blind.
Vadean check-called a 3,000 continuation bet from Firaldo on the 6♦4♠10♥ flop. Action went check-check on the 5♠ turn, before Vadean bet 7,500 on the 6♥ river. Firaldo sighed as he mucked his hand.
“Did you bluff me?” Firaldo asked his opponent.
“No,” Vadean answered.
“For sure?” Firaldo continued. At this point, Vadean decided to reveal his Q♠7♠ holdings for a missed flush draw.
“No!” Firaldo let out a cry that everyone at Casino Gran Via could hear. “I love it!” he continued, saluting his opponent’s play.
The players are now heading for a 40-minute dinner break. There are currently 309 entries in Day 1b; exactly as many as yesterday, which is the biggest-ever starting-day flight of the €150 Mini Main Event during the PartyPoker Tour’s year-and-a-half-long history.
Olivian Vadean: 101,000
Niall “Firaldo” Farrell: 31,000
