Both players improved on the 2♣J♣10♥ flop, but Staples was in rough shape. The runout turned out to be quite the rollercoaster; Staples improved to a straight on the Q♠ turn, but the Q♥ river saw his opponent improving to a full house.
As such, Staples was eliminated in fortieth place for €360. That means that Niall “Firaldo” Farrell is the only one left wearing a PartyPoker patch. What’s worth mentioning, though, is that Staples’ fiancée, Ryana Kritzer, is still in the field. Not too shabby, considering it’s her first-ever live poker tournament.
