Borislav Tonev opened to 600, and received a call from James Smith in the hijack, before David Vie produced a three-bet to 2,400 from the button.
Tonev folded, but Smith called to see the Q♦J♣9♥ flop, where he check-called a pot-sized bet of 5,000 from Vie.
The 10♦ turn was checked to the 3♥ river, where Smith led out with a bet of 13,000.
Vie quickly called, and tabled Q♣Q♠ for top set, and Smith had turned second pair into a bluff with A♥J♠.
David Vie – 71,000
James Smith – 43,000
