The 2026 UK Poker Championship (UKPC) continues its noble quest to determine who truly reigns supreme in British poker … assuming, of course, one of the locals actually manages to keep the trophy on home soil and doesn’t let some international grinder snag it before their eyes.
Day 6 of the series added plenty more, as the £560 Main Event rolled on with two additional starting flights pushing the field ever closer to its £500,000 guarantee, while yet another trophy found a new owner inside the UK’s most iconic poker room.
For those wanting to follow the action as it unfolds, live reporting is running on the Dusk Till Dawn website, with poker.pro’s Christoffer Karlén on the ground, bringing all the updates.

The regular Day 1B got underway at noon with 40-minute levels and nearly 12 hours later, when the clock hit midnight (or more accurately, around 23:30), the field whittled down from 127 entries to 30 survivors, who bagged and tagged their chips for a return on Sunday, January 25, when Day 2 begins.

Day 1B produced four seven-figure stacks, with Jack Loraine leading the charge after piling up a massive 1,413,000. Right behind him is Simon Higgins, who finished the night on 1,405,000, while a small gap separated the leaders from the other two “millionaires”. Ryan Johnson ended the session with 1,116,000, and Darrell Hopkins-Yong also crossed the mark with 1,008,000. Also a notable mention is Mitchell Johnson, who bagged a very healthy 907,000 in fifth place, fresh from his win in the £1,100 UKPC High Roller 7-Max, where he also earned a seat to the Main Event. Johnson could be in a position to turn one title into two. That said, there’s still plenty of poker to be played.
