The action has been absolutely electrifying at Dusk Till Dawn during the past week. The 2026 United Kingdom Poker Championship (UKPC) is in full swing, and players from all over the country (and some from abroad) have made their way to the UK’s finest poker venue to compete for the prestigious titles.
The £560 Main Event has been particularly busy, and the flagship tournament is on its last stretch. After six starting-day flights, including an Online Day 1 at GGPoker, Day 2 of the tournament was played on Sunday, January 25, and after an 11-hour marathon sitting, 16 players made it through to the final day. What’s more, champions were crowned in the £1,100 High Roller and the £150 Mega Stack.
With just three titles left to be awarded, including today’s one-day £150 Deepstack and £60 Closer, the festival is gearing up for a thrilling finale. If you want to follow every key pot and turning point live, head over to the Dusk Till Dawn website, where poker.pro’s own Christoffer Karlén is providing wall-to-wall coverage to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Amir Zaregarizi Out Front with 16 Left as UKPC Main Event Nears Its Final

The 2026 UKPC kicked off at Dusk Till Dawn on January 27, and it has been proven that the UKPC is one of the most appreciated and prestigious live poker festivals in the UK. To say there’s been a busy room at Dusk Till Dawn would be an understatement; it’s been crowded, and all the guarantees in the various tournaments have all been crushed.
On Sunday, Day 2 of the £1,100 Main Event was the tournament occupying most of the tables at Dusk Till Dawn. The tournament scored 1,159 entries overall, creating a £556,320 prize pool. The 243 Day 1 survivors all returned for the penultimate day, and their first goal was to be top 175, as that would mean they’d be guaranteed a £1,000 min-cash. This was achieved after Sarah Pearson knocked out James O’Brien in the most dramatic fashion imaginable, and the players could instead focus on climbing the payjump ladder. Up top is a juicy £101,000 prize and, of course, the title of the UKPC master.

There were some notable names during the second Day, such as 2025 WSOP Circuit Nottingham £1,500 runner-up Jack O’Niell, current #1 most trending player on The Hendon Mob Brandon Sheils, the charismatic Will Kassouf, and more. Neither of the three players mentioned above made it through to Day 3, though. That being said, there are some very skillful players still remaining in the field.
Leading the field is Amir Zaregarizi, and starting the final day as the chipleader, he has earned himself great presumptions for a very deep run. It won’t be a walk in the park, though, as all of his opponents have earned their seats at the finale. Someone who’s trying to break new ground is Hong Pham, as she’s trying to become the first-ever female UKPC champion. She might be starting Day 3 as the short stack with nine Big Blinds, but it’s poker; anything can happen.

Day 3 kicks off at 13:00 on Monday, January 26, and the final table will be live-streamed on Dusk Till Dawn’s YouTube page. Poker enthusiasts can follow the raffling conclusion of the Main Event either there or through poker.pro’s live coverage, delivered by Christoffer Karlén, who’s on-site in Nottingham.

2026 UKPC £560 Main Event Payouts
Another highlight on Sunday was the £1,100 High Roller. Some players who busted the Main Event used their winnings to buy into this one. One hundred nineteenth players yielded a £114,240 prize pool, with 15 players in the money. Two of the previously named players, Sheils and Kassouf, both made the money. Ultimately, though, it was James Mahone who claimed the title and the £32,000 first-place prize. Mahone came second in the $3,500 WPT Cyprus Championship, Chamada, roughly half a year ago, so it must’ve been nice to claim a title, beating such a sublime player as Sheils heads-up.
