One simply can’t deny The Hendon Mob’s influence on the global poker community. Since its founding in 2001, they’ve grown bigger and better by the year, and today, they for sure live up to being the “largest live poker database”.
The Hendon Mob’s journey throughout the years is an impressive one, and they’ve become so much more than just a website where people can look up which player cashed where and when. One of their perhaps most significant project over the last couple of years has been The Hendon Mob Championship. The live poker tournament runs a handful of times yearly, often in conjunction with a bigger event (such as the Irish Poker Open or The Festival). Occasionally, though, the stage is all theirs. That was the case in both Liechtenstein and Nottingham earlier this year, and in December, they’ll round the 2025 season off with another solo event in London. Headlined by a £150,000 guaranteed Main Event, this will surely be a stellar finish to what has been a great year of The Hendon Mob events.
Main Event Takes the Cake
The latest edition of The Hendon Mob Championship (or THMC, as it’s commonly referred to as) was played during the 2025 Festival Malta. A total of 376 entries were scored in the tournament, which held a €280 buy-in, and Belgian Egi Adriaans came out on top, earning €14,271 for his win. Arguably, though, the highlight of The Hendon Mob’s live poker tournament year came during the 2025 Festival Rozvadov, when the buy-in was lowered to €150, and still reached the €300,000 guarantee. With 2,417 entries, this became the largest-ever THMC; hats off to Roland Boothby (Head of Partnership at The Hendon Mob), Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk (founder of The Festival), and the King’s Resort Rozvadov for pulling off this amazing achievement.
Now, it’s time to round the season off in the most fitting fashion. The 2025 THMC Championship will be played at Genting Casino Stratford (formerly known as Aspers), London, between December 1-7. There are five tournaments on the schedule, but the one that’s standing out is undoubtedly the €280 THMC Main Event. With seven starting-day flights running at London’s most respected poker venue, this will be a tournament for the ages. With a £150,000 guarantee, this event should appeal to all players like a mixture of milk and honey attracts the houseflies.
The Main Event is set to commence with Day 1a on December 4, and then, the starting-day flights will run continuously throughout the week. The 1f turbo and the 1g hyper turbo flight both will run early on December 7, before Day 2 (i.e., the final day) commences at 15:15. Between December 1-6, there’ll be daily £30 satellites which all have five Main Event tickets guaranteed, giving players the perfect opportunity to secure their seats for a lower amount of “quids”.
Another event during the festival that deserves a shoutout is the £200 Deepstack Opener. This two-day affair kicks off with the sole Day 1 flight on December 3, but late registration will be open until the start of Day 2, meaning players can choose not to participate in Day 1. Not only does this tournament boast a £30,000 guarantee, but there’s also an added seat to the €350 THMC during the 2026 Irish Poker Open. Speaking of added value, the winner of the THMC Main Event will, except for what’s expected to be a juicy first-place payout, also get their hands on a package to the THMC Cape Town Million for 2026.

Collaboration with UDSO
This will be the third THMC at this particular venue, and London plays a crucial part in The Hendon Mob’s noble history. Boothby is thrilled that the English capital once again will welcome the event:
