The World Poker Tour is finally making its way to Texas. Starting September 27 and running through October 13, 2025, the WPT is bringing the heat to The Lodge Card Club in Round Rock, just outside of Austin, with an action-packed schedule that features more than 50 events, massive guarantees, and a historic WPT Prime Championship.
This marks the WPT’s official debut in the Lone Star State, and they’re doing it in style with a series-wide guarantee of at least $2 million. At the center of it all is the $1,100 WPT Prime Lodge Championship, which runs October 9–13 with a minimum $1 million prize pool.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Lodge for the first time and bring the WPT experience to the heart of Texas,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “The Lodge is a standout venue with an incredible community of passionate poker players.”
In 2022, Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme acquired The Lodge Card Club, the largest poker room in Central Texas. Now boasting over 60 tables and full live stream support, the ownership team recently expanded, welcoming content creators Nikhil “Nik Airball” Arcot and Ethan “Rampage” Yau as investors.

Meet-Up Games, Texas-Sized Tournaments, and Bounties Galore
Things kick off on Saturday, September 27, with a $100–$500 Meet-Up Game hosted by Brad Owen and Doug Polk, followed by the first satellite of the series. The following day features the Texas Ladies Championship and the start of the wildly popular “Half Milly,” a $400 tournament with a $500,000 guarantee that will span 12 starting flights across eight days.
Monday introduces the $300 WPT Warm-Up and the $200 Big-O Championship, while Tuesday features the $300 Texas Seniors Championship and a $400 PLO event. By midweek, the Half Milly flights return in full force, running multiple times per day through Sunday, October 5, when Day 2 begins.
The action then turns to the $600 Quarter Million, with five Day 1 flights starting October 5 and culminating in Day 2 on October 7. That same week also includes the $1,100 PLO Hundred Grand, the $300 WPT Wildcard Mystery Bounty, and the $2,000 WPT Prime High Roller.
The Prime Championship Comes to Texas

All roads lead to the WPT Prime Lodge Championship from October 9 to 13. With six starting flights between Austin and San Antonio, including a turbo option, this $1,100 buy-in event is expected to draw a massive field looking to win the trophy, the title, and a piece of the $1,000,000 prize pool. Satellites throughout the festival give players plenty of shots to qualify on the cheap, with buy-ins as low as $30.
The Prime Championship isn’t just about bragging rights and the money—it also awards points toward the WPT Player of the Year leaderboard and sends one more name to the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.
