The third stop of the 2025 Pure Poker Tour kicks off on July 17 at Pure Casino Edmonton, with live coverage by Lyle Bateman throughout the series.

  • Josh Myers Breaks His Podium Streak to Take His First PPT Trophy ($13,610)

    After nearly 13 hours of play, Josh Myers has bested the field to win Event #10: $560 NLH. The tournament drew a field of 101 entries to create a prize pool of $47,975. For his effort, Myers takes home the lionshare of $13,610 after besting Mike Malm in heads-up play.

    Malm battled back finding multiple doubles to bring the tournament to a near 1:1 chip deficit. However, Myers found a call with king-jack against Malm’s pocket sixes. The king on the flop gave him the edge, and Malm couldn’t improve to finish as the runner-up.

    Myers flew through the tournament finding a top stack for the majority of the tournament. He continued his aggressive style to add to his stack, and found key jams in major spots to force his opponents to fold. Kris Steinbach and Malm both found eliminations to bring the field to three-handed, with Steinbach holding the chip lead.

    Malm found a double leaving Myers as the short stack, but he wouldn’t maintain the position for long. A quick double put him back in the race, and he doubled twice through Steinbach to send him to the rail. Heads-up looked to be a short affair but Malm picked spots carefully and found mutliple doubles. However, it was short lived, as Myers found his first trophy and ended his streak of podium finishes.
