Deyburgh & Maddalo Win Team Event
Level: 21 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 1/19 Prizes: $7,220 James Dryburgh(L), Mat Maddalo (R), Winners of the Team event It ended up as a bit of a marathon in the Team game, considering the small field. It took until nearly 2 am to play through 19 entries to the winners, James Dryburgh & Mat Maddalo. They had a tough go of it against the runners-up, Jordan Matsui and Shawn Kim.
It took an eventual cooler a couple of levels after heads-up began to finally end it. Matsui/Kim had pocket threes for a race against the suited king-jack of diamonds for Dryburgh/Maddalo. They spiked a jack on the flop and held to take it down.
They had the lead when the money went in, but earlier in the night, they were down to just 16k but still managed to rebound to win it.

Event #8: $450 Team ($400 + $50)
Event 8: $450 Team ($400 + $50) Date: Apr 6, 6 PM Blinds: 20 Minutes Starting Stack: 25k Late Entry: 9 Levels (~9:15 PM) Day 1 Ends: One-Day Event Sunday has a double side order of poker with the Team event as the second side event of the day. The Team game starts at 6 pm with 25k in chips to start and 20-minute blind levels. Entries are open for 9 levels, which should put the last chance to enter at about 9:15 pm.
I won’t likely be following this one very closely as my attention will be first on the final day of Event #3, and then on the endgame of the 1-Day Deepstack. I’ll do my best to update numbers on this one and get some shots of the winning team, but I suspect this game won’t get much coverage tonight.
